Pasta Sauce
Ingredients

- 1 ground beef (or half beef, half pork sausage)
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 small carrot, finely grated
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp salt & pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 2 cans diced tomatoes (with juices)
Instructions
- Cook the meat in hot skillet until almost done. Break up with spatula.
- Add chopped onions, garlic & carrot (may need to add some olive oil).
- Cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add herbs, stir well.
- Add wine to deglaze the pan, scraping any bits off the bottom.
- Add tomatoes (with juices) and mix well.
- Simmer all together for 30 mins to an hour.
